SIGDIAL 2025 will be held at
Avignon University in France.

The 26th Annual Meeting of the Special Interest Group on Discourse and Dialogue (SIGDIAL 2025) will be held at Avignon University in France.

Avignon is an ancient residence of Popes and site of the largest Theatre Festival of the world (in July). The Palais des Papes in Avignon, Southern France, is one of the largest and most important medieval. Gothic buildings in Europe. Once a fortress and palace, the papal residence was a seat of Western Christianity during the 14th century. AU Campus is within remparts (intra-muros) in the north-east corner of the city (15-min walking distance from the Palais des Papes)

Avignon UniversitĂ©’s Hannah Arendt campus is located in downtown  Avignon, within the city walls (intra-muros), about 20 minutes’ walk  from the Avignon Centre train station. A TER shuttle or buses run  between the Avignon Centre station and the TGV station, about 5km from  the city center.

You can also come from the TGV train station or the central station by self-service bike (via the VĂ©lopop app): https://velo-grandavignon.fr/fr/sharing

You can enter the campus from either side: rue Louis Pasteur or from the ramparts (Boulevard Limbert). You may be asked to show proof of identity at the entrance to the campus.

All three days take place on this campus (as well as the two days of workshops), and social event will also be held in the city. So, if possible, book a hotel in the city or near the ramparts. If you’re coming by car, be aware that traffic inside the city walls is difficult, and parking is not free. We suggest you park at the Parking des Italiens, which is free and a 10-minute walk from the university.
